Kaytlynn Ann Lopez, 20, from Durham, North Carolina, lived in Borden, Indiana and passed away on December 29, 2023. She was born on August 26, 2003.                                                                                                                        

She is Survived by her husband Christopher Lopez; son, Kayson Lee Lopez, parents, Melissa Hope Fletcher and Douglas Ray (Rebecca) McBride; grandpa Dana J. Fletcher; step grandpa Leon D. Moore; brothers, Daniel J. (Ashley) Keith, Christopher M. (Greyson) Fernandez, and Wyatt Adam McBride; sisters, Evalynn M. Jackson,  Danielle J. Aguilar, Kelsey (Lee) Locke, Eryka R. (Jordan) Fernandez;  Ashley Colon; and 5 nieces and nephews.                    

She is proceeded in death by her grandparents Dollene V. Fletcher, William W. McBride, Eva T. Moore, aunt Elizabeth Dean, and uncle Larry W. McBride.

Her vibrant spirit and zest for life were infectious. She had a way of making even the smallest task seem extraordinary, infusing joy into every moment. Kaytlynn had already achieved so much, not long ago she embarked on a beautiful journey of love and commitment and tied the knot with her husband Christopher in hopes to find her forever love as well. Their union was a testament to the power of love and their dreams of building a future together.

Kaytlynn's son Kayson was the best thing in her life. She cherished every moment spent with him. He brought immense joy and happiness to her life, and their connection meant everything to her.

In her free time, Kaytlynn enjoyed exploring nature, swimming, and fishing at the lake. Game nights with the family were always her go to for a lazy day at home, and don’t even think about turning Lilo and Stich off. You could always find Kaytlynn in a hoodie and usually with a game controller in hand playing an online game or virtually doing chores on RP games. During the last few months of life she was a devoted, loving, wife, and mother.

Kaytlynn earned a high school degree from Hillside High in Durham North Carolina, also a CPR and ACD License. She cared for everyone she met.

Cremation was chosen and future arrangements are to be announced.

Kaytlynn…how she loved to dap! She found such pleasure in showing everyone this skill and would make so many videos of herself doing it. If she had your phone or ipad, I wouldn’t be surprised if you had one tucked away somewhere. I know I do! I feel so blessed to have shared a portion of your life Kaytlynn and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
To everyone of her siblings, her parents, and all of her family, ya’ll know she loved and laughed pure. Let’s all wrap ourselves in the memory of that love and laughter especially when words just won’t do.

I have been best friends with kaytlynn Ann McBride since 2018-2023, She was the kindest, most loving soul I’ve ever met. She was such a hard worker. All of her friends are heartbroken and sad including me her best friend of almost ten years.
