Lawrence Randolph Dobbins, 69, of Madisonville, Kentucky, passed away on December 19, 2025.
Lawrence was born on May 8, 1956, in Germany, to Gerald and Cecilia Dobbins. He dedicated much of his life to public service, serving honorably as a law enforcement officer and civil servant. Lawrence took great pride in protecting and serving others, a reflection of his strong character and deep sense of duty.
He was an adoring husband, a loving father, and a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. Lawrence cherished his family and found his greatest joy in time spent with them. He was also a loyal friend to a close circle of great men who will miss him dearly.
Lawrence is survived by his daughters, Carrie D. Schultz and Randi R. Gydesen; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Dobbins; his mother, Cecilia Dobbins; and his father, Gerald Dobbins.
Lawrence will be remembered for his strength, kindness, loyalty, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
