Leonard "Butch" Earl Seymour Sr.

Leonard “Butch” Earl Seymour Sr. was born February 5, 1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents, Phyllis Kay Seymour (Porter) and Theodore Estill McCord (Buddy).

Butch passed away in his home due to health issues on October 26, 2024 in his hometown of Rushville, Indiana.

Butch was a lifelong Carpenter, which was his true passion. He grew up playing football and was an avid fan of the sport. He enjoyed riding his “Harley”, weight- lifting, fishing, camping, western shows, and most of all his very large family.

Butch was the proud father to Amber Lynn Seymour (Elijah Ray), Leonard Earl Seymour II (Angie), Patrick Ryan Seymour, and Carson Earl Seymour.  He was the proud grandfather to his grandkids, Haley Seymour (Dalton Wallace), Madison, Logan, and Savannah Foster, Dakota, Jason, and Cole Patrick, Zachary Thompson, Kaylee Seymour, Patrick II and Lynnea Seymour; and great grandfather to Ka’harii, Alliegh, and Xazi’mir Wallace.

Butch was preceded in death by his son, Carson Earl Seymour (Rushville, IN); mother, Phyllis Kay Porter (Rushville, IN); father, Theodore Estill McCord (Hilo, Hawaii); stepfather, Thomas Smiley (Edinburgh, IN); sister, Mary Jane Smiley (Rushville, IN); and the Love of his Life, Kellie Seymour (Shelbyville, IN).
