Lester Phillip Washington

Lester Phillip Washington, 62, passed away on July 14, 2025.

He is survived by his three children: Angel Pearson, Ronnisha Jackson, and Breon Brewer; four grandchildren; his sister Angela Hyde ("Angel"); his sister Sonya Washington ("Michelle"); his brother Tony Washington; as well as several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys Pruitt; his mother, Doris Washington; his aunt, Emma Smith; and his cousin, Gregory Washington.

Lester was a proud graduate of Shawnee High School. He worked and volunteered for many years at St. Vincent de Paul, where he touched many lives with his generosity and kindness. Lester had a deep love for sports, enjoyed playing dominoes, and found joy in cooking for those he loved.

He was known for his radiant smile and contagious laugh—both of which could brighten any room. Lester will be remembered as a kind-hearted man, a devoted father, a loving brother and uncle, and a true friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
