Lisa Earlene Lewis
12/02/1962 - 12/09/2025
Lisa Earlene Lewis, age 63, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, just days after her birthday. She was born on December 2, 1962.
Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Lewis; her brother, Kenneth Wayne Husband; her nephew, Darrell Ray Bullock; and her great-nephew, Ashton Bullock.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara, and son-in-law, Ryan; her cherished grandson, Roan; her parents, Kenneth and Cathy Husband; her sister, Kathy Bullock, and brother-in-law, Boozie Bullock; her nephew, Casey Bullock, and her great-niece, Lorelai Bullock; along with extended family members and loved ones who will miss her deeply.
Lisa will be remembered for her unrelenting fighting spirit, her toughness, her resilience, and, in the same breath, her ability to love and feel deeper than most. Her life was filled with challenges, and she faced each one with her chin held high. Everything she was and stood for has impacted those around her in ways that will ripple across generations. Because of her, we will never back down, always do what’s right, and always do things on our own terms.
We know that somewhere, she’s propped up against a jukebox, resting high on that mountain, and for now, we’ll leave this long-haired country girl alone."

Your Loving Daughter
Mom, I am sitting in your room listening for your voice, and it is so very quiet. I know we butted heads a lot, and we both said a lot of things we wished we hadn’t, but I am learning that the deepest loves are the hardest ones and leave the biggest hole. In those last days, you smiled at me and said, “Just when I was starting to like you.” I don’t know why we couldn’t admit we liked each other the whole time, but if the love a person has for another can be measured in the amount you miss them when they’re gone, then I loved you more than any words could have expressed anyway. I hope you know I loved you, and that I knew you loved me. I am so proud that you’re my mom.
