Lois Eugenia Rose (Jeannie)
10/19/1951 - 11/06/2025
Lois Eugenia Rose (Jeannie), 74, passed away on November 6, 2025. She was born in Louisville Kentucky on October 19, 1951. She is survived by her son, Terry Moore Jr. (Lisa); her grandchildren, Alexis and Aiden Moore; step-grandson, Zachary Pullen; sisters, Teresa Phillips (Butch), Shirley Samples (Curtis), and Brenda Trauth (Paul); brother, Arthur Brumfield; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zinner and Edna Brumfield; sister, Bonnie Tyler; and her brother, Zinner Brumfield Jr.
Jeannie loved without hesitation and without limits. She might give you a lecture if she felt you needed it. She cherished time with family and friends and carried a calm, easygoing spirit that made everyone feel welcome. She enjoyed cookouts, gatherings, and any chance to be surrounded by the people she loved.
In her younger years, Jeannie found peace near the water—whether it was a lake, creek, or river—soaking up the sun and enjoying simple moments. She was no stranger to hard work, from her longtime years at the fairgrounds to laying blacktop. Although she had one son, she lovingly claimed all her nieces and nephews as her own “babies,” teaching them manners while showering them with affection. Her childlike joy shone through in the way she appreciated the little things and encouraged others to do the same.
Jeannie believed in laughter, kindness, and seeing the good in life. She often reminded others, “It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile,” a phrase that truly reflected her outlook. Generous to the core, she never let anyone leave her home hungry or without what they needed if she could provide it. Her love for animals was just as strong—she once had an iguana that roamed freely through her home—and she leaves behind two cherished dogs Tyler and Mario.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 14, 2025, located at 1200 Old Ekron Rd, Brandenburg, KY 40108, from 1 PM to 4 PM.
