Mark Anthony Weidekamp

Mark Anthony Weidekamp (70) passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley “Morgan” Gaddes and Joseph Erwin Weidekamp Jr.

Born and raised in Louisville, Mark was a graduate of Atherton High School and Eastern Kentucky University. Mark enjoyed a successful career in real estate, as well as many other business ventures he started and built throughout his life, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and determination.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Weidekamp, with whom he shared nearly 16 years of love, laughter, and memories. He also leaves behind his beloved sons, Maxwell Weidekamp (Sarah) and Samuel Weidekamp (Mary Ann), who were a constant source of pride and joy.

Mark is also survived by his siblings, Michael Johnston (Crystal), Judith Johnston, Eric Weidekamp (Wilma), and Jennifer Weidekamp, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews who will forever remember his kindness, humor, and love.

Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held at Forest Edge Winery, located at 1910 Clermont Road, Shepherdsville, KY 40165, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The gathering will be open-house style, and family and friends are encouraged to come and share memories, stories, laughter, and love as we celebrate Mark’s life.

May he rest in peace and forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
