Mary Jean Mitteneder

Mary Jean Mitteneder, age 66, passed away on August 18, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1959, to the late Albert and Jean Borne.
Mary is survived by her children Patrick Mitteneder, Jeannie Mitteneder, and Eric Martinez; her grandchildren Joseph Feger, Jayden Noe, and Adelynn Mitteneder; and her great-granddaughter Haisley Noe. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Albert Borne’ (Linda), Nora Kelly, Libby, Christi Hash (Danny), and Kevin Borne’, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Timmy Borne and Donnie Borne.
Mary graduated from Manual High School in 1977 before proudly serving seven years of active duty in the United States Army, followed by four years of civilian service with the Department of Defense.
She will be remembered for her love of gardening, her devotion to animals, and her passion for collecting jewelry. Above all, Mary cherished her family and the time spent with them.
A burial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff, KY 40160.

I didn’t have the honor of knowing Mary, but I work with her son. I can imagine how deeply loved she must have been and her own love for her children, to raise someone as kind and dedicated as Eric. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength for you all.
