Mary Sylvia Aguirre was born in Riverside, California, on November 26, 1950, to the late Mr. Santos Vasquez Sanchez and Mrs. Cuca Sanchez. She departed life on February 5, 2025, surrounded by family.
She was a woman of remarkable faith, strength, and compassion. Mary’s journey began in Riverside California where she graduated from Romona Highschool. She met the love of her life in Riverside, California in 1977 by chance at a gas station and lived “Simply the Best” life with her family, friends, and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phillip Sanchez.
Survived by the love of her life, Louis Artiaga Aguirre; her children, Monikah (Jesse), Louis Jr. (Vanessa), Santos, Jesus, and Ruthann (Leonard); grandchildren, Maelin, Anyssa, Jesikah, Anthony, Jeremiah, Arianna, and Ariez; great-grandchildren, Gianna and Dominik; siblings, Anna Magana, Lorraine Moreno, Kathy Sanchez, Stella Moreno, and Inez Carranza; and her beloved chihuahua, Chulo.
She was a devoted Christian of Victory Outreach of Riverside California and Covenant Life Church of Jeffersonville Indiana.
Mary found immense joy in sewing, singing, gardening, and children’s ministry but most importantly she loved and cherished spending time with her family.
Private family services will be held in Indiana followed by a celebration in life to take place in Ventura, California at a later date.
