Melody Marie Ahrens

Melody Marie Ahrens, 48, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on October 2, 2024. 

She is survived by her companion of 22 years, Marvin Overton. 

Melody is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ahrens. 

While Melody often kept to herself, she touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her in quiet but profound ways. She found joy and comfort in the simple things—her cherished collection of plushies, which brought her endless delight, and her deep love for all things Disney. Her connection to the magic of Disney was more than just admiration, as she once had the privilege of working for the company she adored so much. In Disney, Melody saw a world of wonder, where dreams could come true, and that sense of wonder remained with her always.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
