Michael Lee James, 66, passed away on February 4, 2026. He was born on September 24, 1959.

Michael was the proud father of three children: Michael Eric James, Erica Renee Sanders, and Michelle Lynn Weedman. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Brandon Sanders. Nothing brought him more joy than being “Papaw” to his grandchildren: Michael Xavier and Sebastian James; Skylar, Ciera, Kelsie, and Jayden Sanders; and Lily, Blaze, and Asher Weedman. He was a loving and devoted grandfather who cherished each of them and the special bond he shared with them.

Michael had a lifelong passion for cars and computers. He loved technology and was always tinkering, fixing, or figuring out how things worked. Whether working on a vehicle, exploring new tech, or simply enjoying a good project, he found joy in staying busy and learning something new.

Above all, Michael will be remembered for his love for his family, his inquisitive mind, and the warmth he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
