Michael Scott Doring

Michael Scott Doring, 60, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on April 21, 2026. 

He is survived by his sister, Lisa Ellerbrock; niece, Heather Morgan; aunts, Joyce Brunke Lindahl Wooten and Marilyn Schultz; and an abundance of cousins and friends, specifically his lifelong friends, John Bauman and Craig Eicher, who have been an immense support team to Scott for many years. 

Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Doring; grandparents, Hilda Barel Brunke and Lester Brunke, Karl and Margaret Doring; darling aunt, JoAnne Havns; aunts, Patricia Hulliberger, and Betty Hoffman; uncles, Larry Brunke, and Robert "Sonny" Brunke (MIA in the Korean War). 

Scott lived for many years in Japan as an English teacher, and he loved it. He found a great community and friends while he was there. He truly treasured his time living there and the friendships he made. He was also a proud graduate of Western Michigan University, where he received his BS degree in Biomedical Sciences. 

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
