Michele Ann Brown, age 57, of Elizabethtown, passed away unexpectedly on Friday night, July 12th, 2025 at her home. She was born April 13th, 1968 at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, the daughter of the late Michael Brown and Jane Minor.

Michelle had a loving and caring heart and would use her last dollar to help a stranger. She was a certified Nursing Assistant at Peridot Senior Living and a member of Grace Church Elizabethtown. She loved hosting friends in her home and showing hospitality. Michelle was a giver—if she found someone had suffered loss, she would pray for them and offer support by sharing a meal, giving them her own possessions, or finding an appropriate gift to show that she cared. When COVID came, Michelle gave away toilet paper when there was nothing left on the shelves. When a stranger came into her work and she found out they had lost their home to a fire, she went home and collected kitchen items, bedding, and even furniture to give them.

Michelle loved the winter, and Christmas was her favorite holiday. You could always find a Christmas tree up in her house, and she loved to dress up for every holiday. She took every opportunity to have a photo with Santa, but she always said the true celebration of Christmas was the birth of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her father Michael Brown and his wife Brenda; her mother Jane Minor; and three grandchildren—Taylor, Charlotte, and Isabella.

She is survived by her daughter Sky Sowash and her husband Troy; son Michael Hughes and his wife Bethany; and her grandchildren Eain Hughes, Eli Wheeler, and Savannah Wheeler; brother Jimmy Brown; and sister Jenn Williams.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Church Elizabethtown, 1495 Bacon Creek Rd, Elizabethtown, KY 42701, at 10 a.m. on August 2, 2025.
