Mildred Judith "Judy" Houk

Mildred Judith "Judy" Houk, 82, of Central, IN, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Miller (Jackie) of Georgetown, IN; daughter, Catherine Miller of Sellersburg, IN; grandsons, Nicholas (Sidney) Koetter of Floyds Knobs, IN, and Nelson Koetter of Louisville, KY; great-granddaughter, Alexis Koetter; sister, Martha Willis (Larry); and many nieces and nephews. Judy was also blessed with a special friend and caregiver, Delmar "Speedy" Tustin, Jr. of Central, IN, who provided her with loving care in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edna Sinex; her husband, Charles Houk; brothers, Bob, Pat, Dick, Don "Sugg," Joe Sinex and Russ, as well as her sisters, Mary Ellen Horner, Polly Zeiner, and Jane Cole.

Judy was a proud graduate of Georgetown High School, and she loved her life in the country. She enjoyed mowing the grass, tending to her beautiful flowers, and caring for her chickens. Judy took great pleasure in watching the snow fall, a simple joy she never outgrew. Above all, she adored her family and was deeply devoted to her faith. Known for her infectious fun-loving spirit, Judy was always the life of the party and enjoyed hosting gatherings with friends and family. Her love of football was legendary, particularly her devotion to the Kansas City Chiefs.
