Mah, the mother of my second family, always had a story to tell. But, I prefer to stick to the life lessons that I’ll carry and hopefully be able to pass on. I wanted to learn how to sew. The family came together and gifted me my first sewing machine. Mah ensured I had everything to get started. She made reference pieces of fabric and labeled what combinations the settings were to make each thread pattern. Mah also taught me how to look for quality clothing pieces. She helped me understand that it’s okay to spend extra on clothes. Check the seams, and ensure it’s a timeless piece.

When I got to attend, family dinners were always the best! Mah and Pah weren’t afraid to try new things. And the creations always turned out fabulous! We’d all stuff our bellies and sit around and laugh at each other for a bit. Forever in my heart, Mah. Until we meet again.
