Neicee M. Dickey

05/22/1942 - 05/16/2026

Neicee M. Dickey, 83, passed away on May 16, 2026, just days before her 84th birthday. She was born on May 22, 1942, and lived a life marked by faith, service, education, and dedication to her family and community.

Neicee was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served tirelessly in numerous capacities throughout the years. Her roles included Superintendent of Sunday School, Financial Secretary, Announcement Clerk, and Treasurer. She also founded the church’s Birthday Club and served as president of the cemetery committee, helping oversee the successful installation of the wrought iron fence in 2018.

A proud graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, Neicee earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1964. During her time at the university, she participated in efforts supporting the Freedom Riders by going door to door distributing flyers to encourage citizens to vote — a reflection of her lifelong commitment to service and civic engagement.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Katrina (Micrin) Brockington, Wakender “Kim” Dickey, and Micheline “Missy” Dickey; her cherished grandchildren, Carrington Edmondson and Savannah Edmondson; and her dear sisters, Katie (Hubert) Jackson, Dottie (George) Little, and Cheryl (Gahn) Haigler.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Ariel “June” Dykes, Peaches Breland, and Rose-Mary Jones.

Neicee will be remembered for her unwavering faith, leadership, compassion, and the lasting impact she made on her church, family, and community.

A Memorial Service will be held at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 234 Florida Gas Road, Wiggins MS 39677  May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
