Norbert “Norbie” Lyndon Jones Jr

Norbert “Norbie” Lyndon Jones Jr., age 70, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 after a short illness.  Born on April, 2nd, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was preceded in death by his father Norbert Sr. and his mother Jean Jones.

Norbie is survived by his four loving children, Robert Weichert (Amanda) of Shelby County, Evelyn Edington of Frankfort, Charity Hedges (Adam) of Frankfort, Jack Hedges (Julie) of Shelby County, 21 Grandchildren, and one Great-Grandchild.  Norbie is also survived by his two sisters, Sherie Jackson of Illinois, and Linda (Steve) Mudd of Arizona, and his Nieces and Nephews, Christa, BJ, Eric, and Laura.

Norbie was a Vietnam Veteran and served 4 years in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz CVN 68.  He enjoyed his retirement as an HVAC Technician & General Repairman by spending time with his family, fishing, bicycling, swimming, and camping.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28th, at 11:30 am at the Frankfort Cemetery Chapel.  Norbie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
