Ona Marie Standifer (Ree Ree), 64, of Louisville passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by loved ones in Louisville on Friday, November 22nd, 2024. 
Ree Ree was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (NaNa), sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was a cancer survivor  and once worked in different customer service trades, a teachers aide.

Ree Ree attended Ahrens high school, was a drawing artist, and enjoyed talking with her kids everyday.  Ree Ree enjoyed watching videos of her children and grandchildren singing, Steve Wilkos, and her favorite movie was Beaches, and her interest in music is exemplified in her love for her children whom also enjoyed and connected with music. 

Ree Ree was a jockster, a story teller, and a secret keeper and anything you told her stayed with her and only her. Ree Ree was passionate about human race, helping people mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, music and singing, which was ever present when her family would sing to her and with her.

Ree Ree was the most loving person anyone could ever asked for, and is proud of all her children and grandchildren, and family and she always said that her 5 children and her grandchildren were her heroes and an inspiration which is why she dedicated Chicago “Your The Inspiration” to her husband, and children. 

Ree Ree leaves behind her  beloved children, Alan Lee Standifer Jr,  Casey Marie (Justin) Hughes, Kimberly Gayle Standifer, and Crissy Michelle Standifer; grandchildren Michael VanMeter, Jordan Witt, MaKayla VanMeter, Justin Hughes Jr; Hailey Hughes; great-grandchildren Kyler Layne and Bella Kinslow.

She also leaves behind a Stepmother Linda Weaver, sisters Donna Hayes, Tonya Ballard, and Christine Weaver, 1 brother Charles Scoda, and a host of family, and friends. Some very best friends in which are like brothers, and sisters to her as well. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Alan Standifer; son Michael Standifer; mother Darlene Davis (Charles David); father Donald Weaver; mother in law Nancy Owens; father in law James (Jim) Standifer; sister Rhonda Harper; and many other loved ones.

Cremation has been chosen to respect Ree Ree’s wishes, and Magnolia Cremations of New Albany, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements. A private celebration of life was chosen to follow Ona Standifer’s wishes will be held on Friday December 27th, 2024 at 12 noon an all day event until closing time at the following address Grand Lion Event Center  142 Outer Loop Louisville , Ky, 40214

Expressions of sympathy can be made by donating in Ree Ree’s to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Kidney Failure Association, American Cancer Society.
