Pamela Denise Sizemore
11/20/1961 - 2/4/2025
After a long battle with debilitating illnesses, Mamaw finally found peace during the early morning hours of February 4, 2025.
Pamela Denise Sizemore was born Pamela Jaynes on November 20, 1961, to Charles and Delores "Faye" Jaynes in Indianapolis, IN. She was the 2nd child and only girl. Her older brother, Charles "Chuck" is still with us, but her younger brother, Randall "Randy" passed in 2001. She also had 2 half-sisters, Evelyn Hinton, and Rhonda Blackmon. She grew up in central Indiana before moving south to Scottsburg where she met her husband, Samuel Sizemore, at the young age of 13. Through many triumphs and tragedies, they were married until Samuel's death in 2022.
Sam and Pam had 2 children, Elesha, born in 1978, and Derek, born in 1980 and passed in 1994. Pam's children were her whole world, until her grandchildren were born, Peyton in 2004 then Kaleb in 2007. As is the way, these babies kept her going through her ever-challenging health problems.
To know Pam was to love her. Her infectious smile and bright personality drew you into her. She made friends wherever she went and knew no strangers. She loved being outside, feeding birds, and playing with her dogs. Even as she got sicker, she never quite stopped giving and doing her best to take care of her family and always trying to find ways she could help around the house. She loved watching old TV shows, especially westerns.
Although she will be terribly missed, we take comfort in knowing she is with Papaw and Derek, fishing at that great big lake in the sky. There will be a memorial service honoring her life at 1pm on March 8, 2025, at the Interurban Shelter House at Lake Iola in Scottsburg, IN.

Pamela was always such a sweet lady! She treated me just like I was Elesha’s sister when I was around. She was thoughtful and caring. She will be missed greatly.
