Patsy King

Patsy King, 67, of Irvington, Kentucky, passed away on August 5, 2025. 

She is survived by her son, Darrell L. King Jr., and his wife, Alicia Pinkston King; daughter, Brandi King, and her husband, Raul Marcelino Garcia; son, Jacce Decker, and his wife Lori Decker; grandchildren, Samantha King, Shyann King Giles (Dalton), Shelby Bell (Carson), Saylor King, Erik Decker, Nikolas Decker, Kassidy Decker, Isaiah King, Juliana/Danni Jimenez, Alexandria Jimenez, and Javier Jimenez Marcelino; great grandchildren, Eleanor King, and Blair Giles; and brothers, Ernest Dishman and Sterling Dishman. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell King, who passed away in 2019; her parents; and many siblings. 

She spent most of her adult life as a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. Over the years, she also worked at Roslynn Baker in Indianapolis, Goodwill, and several other nonprofit organizations, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives.

She found joy in the simple, beautiful moments—going for walks in the countryside, sitting on her porch listening to the songs of birds, and delighting in the presence of any animal that crossed her path. She had a gift for making strangers feel like old friends, and her compassion for both people and animals was boundless.

Her love for coffee was matched only by her passion for cooking and, most of all, her deep devotion to her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Cremation was chosen, and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
