Paul “Brad” Wright, 74, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1951, in Vincennes, Indiana, born to Anne Carter and Paul J. Wright.

 

Brad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who found joy in the outdoors and sharing his passions with those he loved. He was an avid fisherman and well known for making his own fishing jigs, often referred to as “The Wright Jigs.” Brad was also a proud member of the Indy Bass Masters. In addition to fishing, he enjoyed hunting, archery, rebuilding classic muscle cars, and coaching girls’ softball, where he inspired many young athletes.

 

Brad graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1970. He went on to work as a tool and die maker with General Motors, dedicating 31 years of service before retiring in 2008.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia Wright; his daughters, Jennifer Beiers (Robert) and Julie Lierman (Eric); stepdaughter, Stacy Livingston; sisters, Kim Brockman (Paul) and brother Richard Lloyd (Elizabeth). He was a proud grandfather to Michaella, Mackenzie, Tytus, Elias, Daniel, Kassie, and Kylee, and a great-grandfather to Thomas Daniel Green. Brad also leaves behind his beloved canine companion, Ellie.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul J. Wright and Anne Wright; his sister, Paula Pollitt; and his stepson, Daniel C. Livingston.

 

Brad will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for the outdoors, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
