Phillip Wayne Kendall
07/04/1946 - 03/02/2026
Phillip Wayne Kendall, 79, of Orleans, Indiana, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Phillip was a man with a big heart. He was known for his funny faces and quick answers to questions he didn’t even hear. In his younger days, he had a talent for “wheeling and dealing.” If there was a bargain to be made, Phillip was usually right in the middle of it.
He was also a devoted NASCAR fan until Dale Earnhardt passed away, and he could often be found cheering on the races. His daily companions were his cats, Gracie, who recently passed, and Jessie. Those cats could do no wrong in his eyes.
Phillip is survived by his children, Lesa (Johnny) Copas, Michael (Christina) Kendall, and Tina (Brian Luallen) Benock; his grandchildren, Felicia (Jason) Jeffries and Heather (Natalie) Copas; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Kendall; his nephews, Barry (Lisa) Kendall and Tony (Kathy) Kendall; and his cousin, Stephen (Jennifer) Marshall, along with many other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche Kendall and Norman Kendall; his brother, Dale Kendall; his aunt, Dorothy Marshall, and uncle, Edgar Marshall; and his cousin, David Marshall.
Phillip will be remembered for his laughter, his love of racing, and his love of talking politics. His family finds comfort knowing that he is no longer in pain and is reunited with his loved ones, including Gracie the cat. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed every day.
