Randall Downing
August 7, 1953 – April 2, 2025
Randall Downing, 71, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on April 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 7, 1953, in Evansville, Indiana, to James and Thelma Downing, Randy lived a life filled with love, passion, and a dedication to those he held dear.
Randall is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Beverly Downing; his daughters, Regan Dwelly and Kisha Donahoe (Michael); and his cherished grandchildren, Kaleb Dwelly and Kadence Donahoe. He is also survived by his sister, Cathy Kopp, his brother, Ronnie Downing, and many nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Jean Downing; his sister, Judy Pait; and his beloved in-laws, Clarence Dean and Gloria Dean.
Randall had a deep love for racing and spent countless weekends at the Salem dirt raceway behind the wheel. Even after his racing days ended, he rarely missed a Saturday night at the Sportsdrome Speedway, where he cheered on the next generation of racers. He found joy in fishing, working on cars, and painting them to perfection. There was nothing he couldn’t fix, and he took great pride in being the go-to handyman for family and friends. His love for Kentucky basketball ran deep, and he never missed a chance to cheer on the Wildcats.
A proud veteran, Randall served in the Indiana National Guard, embodying a spirit of dedication and service. Above all, he was a family man—his greatest happiness came from spending time with those he loved. His kindness, quick wit, and willingness to help anyone in need will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I’ve known the family for years, I haven’t been around in years but I will always remember him. I worked with him a couple times when I was 15 or so doing siding jobs. He was a nonsense kinda of man and I like that about him. Rest easy sir. You will be missed.
