ReGenia "GeGe" Authea Jones, 58, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 16th, 2024 in her home. Born on November 12th, 1965 to Gene Jones and Verna Stinson, ReGenia graduated from Meadville High School in 1984 and went on to nursing school in New Kensington, PA. She retired from nursing due to health issues. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her sister/best friend, Linda Lincoln and her big brother, Lousea Jones, both of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gene; father of her children, Stanley E. Matthews; nephew, Myson Leonard; and two of her dogs, Gizmo and Chloe.
She is survived by her children, GeRenia and DeVaughn Matthews; grandchildren, Syd, Macie, SeRenity, and DeAngelo Matthews; her best friend, Linda; mother, Verna; sister and brother, Viveca and Lousea; nieces, Joveca Leonard and SaRaya Jones; nephews, Terrell Leonard and Cameron Taylor; Godsons, Vilonta and Verron McCloud; daughter-in-law, Angel Matthews; and son-in-law, Lewis Moorefield.
Services will be held at the Salvation Army in Breckenridge, PA on July 13th, 2024 at 4:30pm.
