Rhonda Curry Fields
11/27/1954 – 10/21/2025
With love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Rhonda Curry Fields of Louisville, Kentucky. Born on November 27, 1954, Rhonda lived a full and beautiful life centered around family, friendship, and love.
A proud graduate of Seneca High School and Western Kentucky University, Rhonda was also a devoted member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She retired from the Crowne Plaza Hotel, where she built many lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her kindness and humor.
Rhonda was the loving mother of Deonika Fields and Delorian Fields, and the proud “Grammi” to Raighan Phelps, Madisyn Fields, and Reylan Phelps. She is also survived by her sisters Lynn Young and Kimberly Moore, her ex-husband Samuel Fields, and her beloved granddog Georgina. She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. Curry and Barbara L. Curry.
Rhonda adored her many nieces and nephews, always asking how have they been and providing them with a big cup of Kool-Aid or some trinket she had from work. She was known for her big heart, bright smile, love for Cherry Kool-Aid, and her passion for sports — especially cheering on her Dallas Cowboys.
She will be forever remembered for her warmth, laughter, and sometimes her sassy ways.

Wow, time moves to fast. It seems like it wasn’t that long ago we were all kids from Newburg, Seneca High School and later WKU. Rhonda put her arms around me when I was a clueless freshman at Western and helped me get through that first semester on the yard. She was a real big sister and a great friend. She will be missed but never forgotten!

Mom as I sit here I really can’t believe you are gone. I miss talking to you on my way to and from work. I miss you never ever working on a computer but trying to understand my job. I love you so much and I want you here but I understand everything happens for a reason.

I will always remember that little camera she carried around recording her grandkids birthdays. She loved her babies chile!
