Rhonda Renay Johnson

Rhonda Renay Johnson, age 58, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on the afternoon of July 3, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY from her courageous battle with cancer, while surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on October 24, 1966, the daughter of Gene Alvey and Vergenea Harp. She grew up in English, Indiana but has lived in Elizabethtown, KY for the last 40 years or so. She and her husband, Robert (Bobby) Johnson just had their 39th wedding anniversary on June 30.

Rhonda was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved hard and gave all she could to her family. She was an avid UofL Cardinals fan who loved watching the Cardinals basketball games.

Rhonda is preceded in death by mother Vergenea Harp Priddy and her grandparents, Coy & Violet Harp.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert (Bobby) Johnson, her son, Cody D Johnson, of Elizabethtown, her daughter, Ashley N Johnson, of Elizabethtown, three granddaughters, Kaydence Powell, Ty’lea and Ashlynn Hill, all of Elizabethtown. She is also survived by her long time furry companion, Mo and many other loving family and friends.

Per Rhonda’s wishes the family has chosen cremation with arrangements being handled by Magnolia Cremations. The family will host a memorial service at a later date with more information provided once details are completed.
