Richard Eugene McNeil

Richard Eugene McNeil, age 80, of Cass City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. Born on August 28, 1945, Richard was the beloved son of the late Elizabeth (Simmons) McNeil and Roy McNeil. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne McNeil.

Richard is lovingly remembered by his children, Larry Richard McNeil and Tammy Rae (McNeil) Lemanski, as well as Tammy’s spouse, Jamie Lemanski, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

A hardworking and dependable man, Richard spent many dedicated years with Rooney Contracting in Bad Axe, Michigan. His commitment to his work and the friendships he formed there were a meaningful part of his life.

In retirement, Richard found joy in the simple pleasures—especially gardening, a hobby that brought him peace and happiness. He took pride in sharing the fruits of his labor with friends, neighbors, and family. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his quiet strength, and the gentle way he cared for the people around him.

Richard’s legacy lives on through the loved ones he leaves behind and the many lives he touched with kindness and humility.
