Rick Stein

November 30, 1948 ~ March 16, 2023

Rick Eugene Stein, 74 years of age, passed away at home on Thursday, March 16, after a long and exhausting battle with cancer. 

Rick was born on November 30, 1948 in Columbus, OH to the late Lester Eugene Stein and Phyllis Elnora Reynolds. Rick was one of two children from this marriage and was a brother to the late Vicki Barnes.

Rick entered the Navy after graduating Westerville High School and was a yeoman aboard the USS Darter SS-576 and was always proud of his submarine service. Rick always worked hard and has jobs as a mechanic, installing flooring and ended his working career at Home Depot, where he fell in love with his coworkers and enjoyed his work every day. 

Rick married the late Linda Miles and was father to Charles, Victoria, and David. Although the union dissolved, he remained a loving father and cherished his children until the end. 

Rick met Connie in 2002 and remained together for the next 21 years. He loved Connie with all of his heart and did his best to be a pain in her butt the entire time they were together. 

Rick leaves behind his children, Charles (Michelle), Victoria (Scott), and David; and his six grandchildren, Gabrielle, Laurann, Charles Jr. (CJ), Atraiu, Nicholas, and Joshua. He also leaves behind Connie's family whom he thought of as his own, Matt and Jessie, and their children Maggie, Kendall, and Beckett.
