Robert Baxley

Robert Baxley, 57, of New Albany, IN passed away on November 22, 2023.

He was born in New Albany, IN on November 28, 1965 to the late Robert and Marilyn Baxley. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Baxley; and son, Alex Baxley. 

He is survived by his ex-wife, Michelle Baxley; sister, Billie Jean Wallace; brother, Jimmy Baxley; children, Samantha Kelley of Clarksville, IN, Dakota Baxley of Clarksville, IN, and Katherine Fraime; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ethan Angel Baby Cyrus, and Drew in Australia. 

Robert was a true family man, who found immense happiness in cooking for his loved ones. Sports also held a special place in Robert's heart, and he was an avid supporter of both the Dallas Cowboys and Indiana University teams.

In his free time, Robert found solace in the great outdoors, particularly during fishing trips with his family. These moments were filled with laughter, shared stories, and the joy of being together, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to join him.

A proud graduate of New Albany High School, Class of 1984, Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a deep connection to his roots. His early years were marked by a sense of duty and honor, as he served in the military at Fort Hood in Texas. His commitment to his country reflected the values he held dear and showcased his bravery at a young age.

As we mourn the loss of Robert, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he find eternal peace, and may his family and friends find solace in the memories they shared with this remarkable man.
