Robert L. Schell, Jr

Robert L. Schell, Jr., 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025. Born on August 13, 1941, he was one of three sons of the late Eda and Robert L. Schell, Sr.
A proud veteran, Robert served his country as a member of the Navy’s helicopter squad during the 1960s. Following his military service, he dedicated 34 years of hard work and commitment as a driver for UPS, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues before retiring.
Robert was a devoted husband to Michelle Schell, and a loving father to Todd Schell (Gretchen) and Zoe Dean (Bradley Axwell). He was a cherished grandfather to Preston Dean, and a beloved brother to Art Schell. He was preceded in death by his brother and parents.
A private family service will be held to honor his life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert’s memory to a veterans’ organization of your choice.

I’m saddened to hear about Robert’s (Bob’s) passing, I’ve known him for most of my life and I always saw him as an uncle. He was a very funny and very caring man, and me and my family will miss him a lot. Rest in peace Bob, you’re in a better place now ❤️
