Robert Lee Carroll

Robert Lee Carroll, 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by the love and presence of his family.

Robert was born on September 14, 1947, in New Albany, Indiana. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a proud Vietnam Veteran who honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps with the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, “The Magnificent Bastards.” His service and sacrifice will forever be remembered and honored.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Elaine D. Carroll (Green). Together, they shared a lifetime of love, memories, and family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Chris Carroll (Becky) and Collion Carroll (Teresa); grandchildren, Dakota (Teneil), Shelby (Jack), Makayla (Trevor), Caleb (Myranda), Colton, Kylee, Kaitlyn, Lakin, Wyatt, and Erin; and great-grandchildren, Calum, Bentlee, Islah, and Jude.

Robert will be remembered for the love he gave his family, the memories he created throughout his life, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him. Though he has left this world, his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his life.
