Roger "Butch" Ellison

6/11/1944 - 4/11/2026

Roger Ellison, affectionately known to family and friends as “Butch,” passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on June 11, 1944.

Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Army and dedicated over 30 years of his career to Phillip Morris. He was known for his strong work ethic, his love of working with his hands, and his pride in keeping one of the best yards in the neighborhood. Roger also enjoyed working on cars and took great satisfaction in fixing and maintaining them.

Above all, Roger cherished time with his family. Whether it was trips to Myrtle Beach, camping adventures, or making memories at the lake house he shared with his beloved wife, those moments meant everything to him. This year would have marked 63 years of marriage since he and his wife were united on April 18, 1963—a testament to their enduring love.

Roger is survived by his children, Steven Ellison; Roy Ellison; Andrea Hoskinson; daughter-in-law Teresa Ellison; and son-in-law Shaun Hoskinson. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ellison; Jenna Ellison; Autumn Blasi; and Summer Blasi. He is further survived by his twin sister, Roxie Ringo; and his brother, Ernest Ellison.

He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Betsy Ellison; his father, Steven Ellison; his mother, Mae Ellison; and his sisters, Joanne Zvirblis and Marie Patterson.

Roger will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hardworking spirit, and the many memories he created with those he loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
