Betty Josephine Ross

Betty Ross, 83, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024. Born on January 10, 1941, she was the beloved wife of Donnie Ray Ross for 64 beautiful years, a marriage that was a testament to unwavering love and devotion. Betty was a caring mother to her son Jeffrey Ross and her daughter Donna Garrett (Bryan). She adored her six grandchildren—Joe, Josh, Derrick, Christina, Tiffany, and Ashley—and took immense pride in her 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Betty cherished her family above all and always found joy in being surrounded by her loved ones. She had a special bond with her sister, Louise Black (Sammy), and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Betty is reunited with her parents, Mary and Forest Redmon, and her son, Jackie Ross, who preceded her in passing.

Though a private family service will be held at a later date, Betty’s legacy of love, kindness, and the joy she brought to everyone will forever be remembered.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
