Ruby Jewell Miller
11/03/1947 - 07/11/2025
In honor of a life beautifully lived and a heart deeply loved, we celebrate the legacy of Ruby Jewell Miller. Known as the sweetest little lady with a big spirit, a loving heart, and a sassy spark, Ruby filled every space with love, laughter, humor, and kindness. On July 11, 2025, Heaven gained one of its very best.
Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, and neighbor. She was a “Momma” to many, always ready with a warm hug or a listening ear.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Goodman, Jack Livers, and Pete Miller; her beloved daughter, Chrissy Miller-Sniffen; her parents, Earl and Marie Bentley; her siblings, Carlos Lewis, Jackie Bentley, and Larry “Butch” Bentley; and her sisters-in-law, Diana Bentley and Ora Lewis.
Those left to carry her light forward include her brother, Claude Lewis; her children, Tommy Goodman (Kelly), Jacquelyn Bruder (Allen), Lisa Stirneman (Kevin), and her son-in-law, Russ Sniffen. Her grandchildren—Michael Dowell, Lindsey Goodman, Chris Stirneman, Corey Stirneman, Amelia Bruder, and Madison Bruder—were the pride of her heart, as was her great-grandson, Carter Dowell.
A very special thank-you goes to her nephew and devoted caregiver, Jay Bentley, whose love and attention brought Ruby comfort, laughter, and peace. She also leaves behind a large, loving extended family and many dear friends.
Ruby chose cremation, and a celebration of life will be held on August 10th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Local 862 UAW Hall, located at 3000 Fern Valley Rd, Suite 100, Louisville, KY 40213.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Ruby’s memory by showing kindness to a neighbor, hugging your loved ones a little tighter, or sharing a cup of coffee or a prayer with someone in need—just like she would have.
