Samantha Katherine May Norgren

Samantha Katherine May Norgren, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024 after a short illness.
Samantha was born in Lexington, Kentucky to Christine (Begley) and J Albert Isham in 1954. As the daughter of a career Army officer, Samantha became enthralled with travel, and especially loved Greece after living in Athens for two years. A very talented and creative artist, Samantha graduated from Towson
State University, Maryland with a degree in Art Education. She was commissioned in the Air Force in 1979 where she met her husband Robert and together they enjoyed exploring Japan for three years with daughter Julia.
A modern renaissance woman, Samantha loved creating and appreciating art, reading, writing short stories and poetry, gardening, nature (but not mosquitos!), bird watching, sunshine, beaches everywhere, good tacos, visiting her daughter, and long evening walks visiting neighbors with her beloved cocker spaniel Comet.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother Mark, Samantha is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert; daughter Julia and her husband Jason Agan (Kane, Jude, & Reed); sister Kerry and brother Matt; niece Gillian and nephew Knox; sister-like-cousin Rita Spalding, and her beloved Cocker Spaniel Comet.

Sam, you shocked us all with your death. We’re still reeling over here. My dear sister… I know you’re with Mom, Dad, and Mark feeling love you couldn’t express or experience before.
