Sandra Mae Scott Smith

Sandra Mae Scott Smith, 63, passed away on September 10, 2026. She was born on June 15, 1963, in Erlanger Kentucky to Claudia Zimmerman and Otis Scott.

Sandra graduated from Scott High School in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, in 1981. She worked in medical coding and billing for more than 20 years before becoming a homemaker and devoting her time to what she loved most - her family.

Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, spouse, and friend. She will be remembered for the love and care she gave to those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudia Zimmerman and Otis Scott; her sister, Toni Seal; and her brothers, Bo Scott and Frankie Scott.

Sandra is survived by her former husband, Richard Lee Smith I; her significant other, Kevin Ray Starks; her daughter, Katherine Watkins; her son, Richard Lee Smith II (Mistisha Smith); her grandchildren, Payton Smith (Casey McCormick), Jack Watkins, Jaylynn Watkins, Zandra Smith, Savannah Smith, and Steven Smith; and her great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Smith and Adalynn Smith.

Sandra's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at a later time and date. For this information, please reach out to her daughter Katherine Watkins.
