Scott Lane
Scotty Lane, 56, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025. He was born on November 9, 1968, in Bedford to James E. and Cynthia A. Lane.
Scotty proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm after graduating from Bedford North Lawrence High School in 1987. Following his military service, he found his passion in the trucking industry, working as both an instructor and over-the-road driver for over three decades.
He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 777 and found joy in riding his Harley-Davidson, connecting with others online, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family.
Scotty is survived by his devoted wife, Juanita K. (Cox) Lane; his children: Alexander Lane, Amanda Lane, Joshua Lane, and Ashley Mathews; his sister, Missy (Lane) Chambers; and two grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cynthia Lane, and his grandparents, Norman and June Smith, and Hershel and Lois Lane.
Scotty will be remembered for his loyalty, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed.
Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
