Sharon Babcock

Sharon Babcock, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 75. Sharon was known for her love of family, her warm heart, and her joy in life’s simple pleasures. She found happiness in spending time with her family, playing bingo, and enjoying murder mystery television shows.

Sharon is survived by her children, Daniel, Christy (Jody), Jessica (Chad), and Bill (Sarah); her grandchildren, Samantha (Corey), Aleecia, Emily (Spencer), Ethan, Grace (Hans), Elliott, Paxton, and Harper; and her four great-grandchildren, Mason, Lincoln, Sophia, and Sarah. She is also survived by many other family members and friends who loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Magdalene Ehringer; her sister, Anita Murphy; and her brother, Leonard Ehringer.

A proud graduate of Providence High School, Sharon dedicated many years to her community, including serving as a Cub Scout leader and working as a long-time employee at Squire Boone Caverns and Walmart, where she eventually retired. Her dedication and commitment to her work were matched only by her love for those she held dear.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Elizabeth, IN, on Saturday, February 22, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Sharon will be laid to rest at St. Joe Hill Cemetery in Sellersburg, IN.

Sharon's legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
