Sharron Smith

Sharron Smith, 73 of LaGrange, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21 st , 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.

She was born on December 4 th , 1950 in Louisville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Alma Heath.

Sharron proudly served her country in the Unites States Navy.

She worked for many years’ potato harvesting and also worked at the Bath VA in NY. She later opened her own business in pet grooming called Sharron’s Pet Magic. She retired from the Department of Corrections in KY.

Sharron enjoyed camping in NY and playing cards with friends. Sharron also enjoyed dog obedience training where she competed and won ribbons at the Steuben County and NYS fairs. She enjoyed playing her Lowery organ and attended many classes to demonstrate the organ for Central Music Co out of Louisville, KY.

Sharron was a collector of Shirley Temple movies and collector’s items, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, painting ceramics, and most recently making diamond art in her spare time.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Smith-Clough (Timothy Clough) and two grandsons Benjamin and Evan of NH and sister Phyllis Hammond of FL and her nephew Joseph Popp and niece Tina Popp of KY, also many friends and neighbors.

Sharron is predeceased by her sisters Doris Carpenter and Beverly Morningstar.

Service to be held at a later date at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY.
