Shirley “Huzzy” Jean Barnes, 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on 06/26/2026.

Shirley was born on 11/28/1964. She was known for her generous heart, her willingness to help others, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Barnes; her brother, G.W. Barnes; her sister, Mary Barnes; and her beloved fiancé of 18 years, Ronald Hurt.

She is survived by her mother, Sandra Morris; her daughters, Robin Barnes (Damon) and Tuesday Higgins (Carl); her grandchildren, Darryl Barnes, Aaron Barnes (Ashley), Raelynn Roby, and Zoey Moore; her great-grandson, Jaxson Barnes; her sister, Theresa Armstrong (Joey); her lifelong friend, Rose Forman; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Additional details will be announced by the family.

Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
