Susan Jacobi
10/29/1946 - 12/26/2025
Susan Jacobi, born to Jeanne and Wilfried Jacobi on October 29, 1946, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, December 26, 2025. She was one of six children—Bill, Mary, Susie, Chuck, Jimmy, and Katy—and was primarily raised in Racine, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her sister Mary and by both of her parents.
Susan was the natural mother of five children: Jon Walker, Racheal Bencs, Ida Hargaray, Charity Tallon, and Betsy Aldrich. She was also the grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
After coming to salvation at the age of 57, Susan became an active member of her church, first in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and later in Louisville, Kentucky. She loved sewing and singing and was a talented artist as well as a wonderful cook.
Her greatest joy and reassurance was found in the grace of God, who saved her—a sinner—from her sins and from eternal punishment and separation from God through Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. Her only hope was in her Savior, and she was greatly encouraged by Scripture, as well as by her church and the many friends and family who ministered to her throughout the years.
She will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in God’s kind mercy to her.

Our childhood was Disney movies downtown Racine, Sunday walks, summer at the Racine zoo, fall at Peterified Springs… my high school and college years I’d come home and Susan would cut my hair in the latest rocknroll fashion. I moved out of state several times and back home only once it seems. It seems my sister believed in Camelot, the Kennedys, Disney movies and happy ever after… which perhaps unraveled with JFK, RFK and MLK. With all her life choices she made, commitment to GOD later in life was one I believe she got right! She was my sister and I loved her. I regret not visiting her when she asked he too. In all my years in business, be it manager, corporate trainer, multi-unit manager… my last job my director of operations… called me Jimmy. My name is James, nickname Jim, and the only person who ever called me Jimmy… was Susan! Too funny, as when mom was pregnant with my brother Charles, the story was Susan started calling him Chucky. When he was born, the name stayed.
Eclectic, undisplined, artistic… I’ll never forget Susan making my parents watch the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. She stayed home hoping to see the Beatles in Milwaukee… We went on vacation to lake Wisconsin and at a truck stop, the Beatles tour had stopped there. Life’s choices…
