Terry Mays

Terry Mays passed away, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and love for his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Mays; his mother, Patricia Craft; his dad, Marvin Shrout; and his sister, Peggy Fulton.

Terry is survived by his sons, Jeremy Mays, Alan Mays, and Wesley Mays; his grandchildren, Kayden Mays, Kaylee Mays, Andrew Mays, Jaxon Mays, Johnny Lenz, and Fayetta Crone; and his siblings, Diana Garret, Virginia Wagoner, Wanda Whitcomb, Steve Shrout, Marvin Shrout, Christi Samples, Lori Shrout, and Lisa Kepley.

Terry owned and operated TJ Construction and was known for his skill, strong work ethic, and love of farming. He enjoyed raising animals, gardening, making maple syrup, tanning hides, and spinning wool from his sheep. He also generously volunteered through his church, helping build wheelchair ramps, porches, and other projects for those in need. He proudly served a brief time in the military.

Terry will be remembered for his kindness, craftsmanship, and willingness to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
