Thomas Lee Scott Sr

5/26/1958 - 4/22/2026

Thomas Lee Scott Sr., born May 26, 1958, passed away on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family and community he cherished so deeply. His life was a testament to devotion, laughter, and unwavering strength.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda McClary, and his children, Thomas L. Scott Jr. (Danielle Scott), Jeron E. Scott (Ju-Nell Scott), Justin S. Scott, Bobby Thomas, and Jeremiah Scott (Mary Jane Scott). He also leaves behind his brother, James Scott, along with 15 grandchildren and 8 cherished nieces and nephews who will continue to carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lee Scott and Corrine Day Scott, and his daughter, Brianna Scott, and sisters, Diane Scott, Shirley Scott (“Red”), and Andrea Scott (“Pinky”), all of whom he held close in his heart throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Shawnee High School, Thomas answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army National Guard. During his distinguished military career, he served with honor and dedication both at home and abroad, including deployments to Kuwait and Germany. His service reflected his deep sense of duty, resilience, and commitment to something greater than himself. He concluded his military journey with an Honorable Discharge, leaving behind a legacy of patriotism and quiet strength that his family will always be proud of.

Thomas was known for his warmth, kindness, and irrepressible sense of humor. He had a gift for bringing people together, often around food, laughter, and stories. Cooking was one of his greatest passions, and he took pride in creating his own recipes. A self-proclaimed “Grill Master,” he was truly a magnificent cook whose meals were made with love and meant to be shared.

More than anything, Thomas will be remembered for how he lived with empathy, humor, and an open heart. He embraced life fully, finding joy in the everyday and reminding those around him not to take life too seriously. As he often showed, eternity is but a moment just long enough for one more joke.

His legacy lives on in the kindness he gave, the laughter he inspired, and the love he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

We love you, Pops

Always and Forever
