Timothy Desmond

Timothy Desmond, known by all as Tim, 74, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. He was born on September 5, 1952.

Tim is survived by his sons, Troy and Travis Desmond; his daughters-in-law, Brandy and Kim; his brother, Todd; and his five beloved grandchildren, Melody, Isla, Hazel, Tyson, and Truett.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma; his father, Thomas; his brother, Tom; and his beloved wife and soulmate, Jan.

Tim graduated from Westport High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a lifelong fan of UofL and the Minnesota Vikings. He was also a true history buff who loved to learn and read, having enjoyed thousands of books throughout his life.

Tim had a personality that made him unforgettable. He was outgoing, loved to tell stories, and truly never met a stranger. He had a wonderful way of making people feel welcome and could always find a reason to share a laugh. His stories, humor, and genuine kindness were a special part of who he was.

Above all else, Tim treasured the life he shared with his wife, Jan. He loved spending time with her and enjoying their incredible paradise backyard, especially relaxing together in the pool. Those moments were among the things he cherished most. 

Tim was generous with his time, his heart, and his sense of humor. He loved his family deeply and created memories that they will carry with them for years to come. His generosity, good humor, stories, and warm personality will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
