Warren Roy Gregory
7/18/1955 - 11/9/2024
Warren Roy Gregory, 69, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Warren was born on July 18, 1955, to the late Warren Russell and Patricia Ann McConnaughay Gregory. He was the fifth born of eight children and was preceded in death by an infant brother, Warren Russell Gregory Jr., lovingly known as "Buster."
A proud veteran of both the U.S. Army and Navy, Warren was known for his adventurous spirit, devotion to family, and his passion for medical work. He found great purpose in his role as a medical assistant and in teaching others in the medical field, a profession he held close to his heart. Warren also loved cooking, inventing, and exploring new places with those closest to him, and he took special joy in caring for the many outdoor cats that recognized his gentle nature.
He is survived by his brothers, Ken (Debra), John, and Tom (Tammy); his sisters, Patricia (Jay) Seals, Katie (Dale) Rust, and Martha (Rick) Piercefield; his fiancé, Linda; his children, Warren (Kelly) and Paula (John); and his six beloved grandchildren: Kaylee, Abigail, Connor, Annabelle, Ella, and Emilia. Known for his warm heart, inventive mind, and words of wisdom, he often said, “It is what it is till it ain’t,” capturing his resilient outlook on life.
A celebration of Warren’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the German American Klub, 8602 S Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46217. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Warren’s life, love, and legacy.
Warren will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who had the honor of knowing him.
