Wendel Doane

‍Wendel Doane, born October 22, 1963 in Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 19, 2024 at his home in West Baden Springs, IN.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judith Nelson; father, Elmer Doane; and brother, Mack Doane.

Wendel is survived by his brother, Roger Doane (Indianapolis IN); sisters, Suzann Bassel (Silver Lake, IN), Annessa Hudelson (Silver Lake, IN), and Monica Jacobs (Kenosha, WI); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wendel worked for over 20 years repairing bridges and was a proud and passionate worker, those traits carried over into his personal life. Wendel spent his free time cooking, grilling, and spending time with his loved ones. No matter the time, the day, the need, Wendel was a stand up guy who always took care of those he loved. Wendel exemplified the meaning of loving your life. He was always happy, outgoing, and quick to crack a joke. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
