In Loving Memory of William Lee Rogers "Papa Lee"

William Lee Rogers, "Papa Lee," age 77, peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service. Born in Florence, South Carolina, William later made Louisville, Kentucky, his home, where he built a life centered on family.

A devoted man of God, William faithfully served as a minister at One Way Church of Holiness under the leadership of Elder Gary Deramus. His unwavering love for the Lord was evident in the way he lived and cared for others. He was known for his kind spirit, humble heart, and willingness to help anyone around him.

In addition to his ministry, William was a talented chef who found joy in preparing meals and bringing people together through his love of cooking. William was also a proud graduate of Coppin State University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Whether in the kitchen, the classroom, or the church, he served others with excellence, compassion, generosity, and a lifelong commitment to helping people.

William leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Theresa Deramus-Rogers; his son, Daniel Browne (TK), and his wife, Nadege Browne; his cherished grandchildren, Mazari Browne, Kayla Browne, and Lauren Browne; and his nephew, Larry Thompson.

He also leaves behind four loving stepchildren, Leann, Alfredrick, Lashell (David), and Janesa, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, church family, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his wisdom and love.

William was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his sister.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his life of faith, service, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to call him husband, father, grandfather, minister, and friend.

"In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus."
