William "Mike" Swartz

William "Mike" Swartz, age 69, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025.
Born in 1955 to Alberta and Phil Swartz, Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served four years. He went on to work for ACBL Barge Lines, where his dedication and strong work ethic left a lasting impression.
Mike was a man who found joy in the simple things—cooking for those he loved, spending time with family, and always staying on the move. He lived his life with heart, humility, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Vicki Franklin; daughters Christina Nichols, Kimberly Mooneyhan ,and Natalie West; bonus son James McCutcheons; son in-law Jeff Nichols, sisters Tyaleah Richards and Marlene Jones; brother Phil Swartz Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Phyllis James.
Mike chose cremation through Cremation Services, and his family honors his wishes with private remembrance.
Though he is no longer with us, Mike's memory lives on in every meal shared, every story told, and every heart he touched.
