Ann was such a lovely person. When I was a young teenager at Grant Park Baptist Church, she was a little older than me and we were both altos in the choir. She treated me so well, and I really loved her. When my sister died a few years ago, she agreed to be my “sister of the heart” and we kept in touch on FB constantly. When I had things going on (surgery), she and her sisters were all wonderful to me.
Martha and Betty Jean, I grieve with you for your loss.
David and Andrew, please don’t feel like you have lost the light of your life because I know for a fact that she is in your heart every moment and shall be until you see her again.
Ann, you have always been amazing. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend, sister, wife and mother and doggy mommy as well.
Dear Lord, thank you for sharing Dr. and Mrs. Kelly’s daughter with all of us. Each member of that family has been and always shall be amazing to many show knew them over the years.
May God be with each of you. Our God is a mighty God and His blessings shared Ann with all of us.
Rest well, beloved Ann.

Ann loved her flowers and was so kind to everyone. I rmember seeing her when I watched the grandkids next door. Julie loved Ann and we were sad to hear of her passing. What a great lady and friend.

I knew Ann for many years. We became neighbors on Lowell Avenue when Steven and I moved in next door to her, David, and Andrew. What started as geography turned into something much better—friendship. And that didn’t end just because an address changed.

Ann taught me how to love hydrangeas. And if you knew Ann, you know that wasn’t a casual lesson—it was instruction.
I can still hear her: “Take the nozzle off. Let the water flow over the base. Show them some love. Don’t make them feel like an afterthought.”

That was Ann in a sentence.
Don’t half-love anything. Don’t half-show up for anyone or anything.

She had a backbone—strong, steady, and unapologetic. If Ann was in your corner, you felt it. And if she wasn’t… you definitely felt that too. She believed in people fiercely, and she stood her ground just as fiercely. No confusion. No gray area. Just truth, exactly where she planted it.

She loved her dogs, her son, and her husband with that same kind of certainty. And the beautiful thing is—she knew they loved her right back. Not everyone gets to leave this world with that kind of knowing. Ann did.

Our world feels a little less steady without her in it—
but I stand a lot braver because she was in mine.

Thank you Ann—
you will be missed.
You were loved.

Ann will be greatly missed by all of her family. So sorry to see her go but know she is in a better place with no pain. Glad I was able to get a hug last time I visited her at home. Love and prayers to David and Andrew.
