Ann Kelly (Eleanor Ann Kelly) Collins

Collins, Ann Kelly (Eleanor Ann Kelly) passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Ann is survived by her husband, David Thomas Collins; her son, Andrew David Collins; and her sisters, Betty Jean (Kelly) Howard and Martha Melinda (Kelly) Hays.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Prue Harvey Kelly; her mother, Bessie Mae (Yeargin) Kelly; and her brother, Prue Wilton Kelly.
Ann attended Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, where she received a BS in Biology, and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received a master’s in microbiology.
She served for many years as the supervisor of the microbiology lab at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, a position she greatly enjoyed. Ann also briefly taught microbiology at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, and Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky.
